This Bookstore Section for Dual Language Books is

FOR INTERMEDIATES

To read the Dual Language Books in the section below requires an intermediate understanding of a foreign language.

Dual Language Books have each page of foreign language facing a page of English translation of that foreign language page.

So each Dual Language Book can be used by English speakers to read a foreign language - OR - used by speakers of that foreign language to read English.

In both cases, the reader trying to read a new language has the the translation there in his native language to help him read the new language.

This requires an intermediate understanding of the new language gained from a first or second year course in the new language's vocabulary and grammar.

Otherwise a complete beginner trying to read a new language must look over to the translation to understand almost every new word or sentence, which is inconvenient, difficult, and tiresome for a complete beginner.
